Cook’s Christmas Lights- Nov. 26th-Jan. 1st
If you’re looking for a light show to check out with the family this winter, then why not help raise money for the National MS Society while you’re at it? Last year the light show raised $5,800 through donations, and they’re looking to double that this year! So drive over to Jackson, park your car and enjoy the warm glow of over 17,000 lights.
Christmas Shoppe and Soup Festival- Dec. 10th
The Cranford United Methodist Church is hosting over 45 vendors selling merchandise and crafts. You’ll be able to bring your kids along and help them finish their Christmas shopping while still finding plenty of great gifts for everyone on your list. And make sure you get there early to enjoy the five homemade soups at lunchtime.
Patriots Week- Dec. 26– 31st
Take some time after Christmas to head over to Trenton and experience Patriot’s Week for yourself. It’s a celebration of Trenton’s role in the American Revolution, portrayed through exhibits, tours, reenactments, concerts, and lectures. You’ll also be able to enjoy some dining and dancing while you’re there.
First Night Ocean County- Dec. 31st
If you’d like to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the boardwalk, then First Night at Seaside Heights is the place for you. It’s a family friendly atmosphere with fun, games, and shopping for the whole family. Don’t forget to arrive in time for the fireworks at 5 pm.
Lambertville New Hope Winter Festival 2017- Jan. 21-29th
This winter festival proves that it’s easy to have fun even when the temperatures plummet. The river town communities of Lambert and New Hope come together to raise money and awareness for local non-profits. There will be ice sculptures, snow folk art, live music, and of course, a parade.
Ice Skating- November through April
If you’re thinking about doing some outdoor ice-skating, then you have to check out the outdoor ice rink at Roosevelt Park. Thousands of people come here every winter and enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the lake, while getting some quality time with their loved ones.
