Round Face
When you are trying to find a glasses frame that compliments a round face well, your goal should be to balance out the face’s unusual proportion and add definition the face’s natural lines. For instance, square and rectangular frames help to bring so angularity to the face, while also downplaying the jaw. Also, try and look for glasses frames that have a dark, prominent bridge that draws attention away from the round sides of the cheeks and towards the center of the face.
Oval Face
An oval shape is one of the most ideal face shapes to fit with glasses or sunglasses because of its balanced proportions. Therefore, to keep the natural balance of an oval face, look for frames that are as wide (or just a bit wider than) the broad part of the face. Also, an accented top rim or decorative temple can further break up a face’s long, straight lines and add width.
Heart Face
Heart-shaped faces have many different varieties and can be somewhat similar to that of a round or oval face. Therefore, you still want to try and aim to balance our the face’s unusual proportions. Look for frames that are oval-shaped or square frames that feature a curved edge. This can help to give a narrow jaw a broader look. Also, light colors and rimless frame styles have a light, airy effect because the lenses are simply held in place by a few screws, with no surrounding frame material.
Square Face
When finding glasses that fit a square face well, look for oval and round flames that soften and lengthen an angular, short face. You can do this by choosing frames that are wider than they are deep. Also, frames that sit high on the bridge of the nose lengthen the face and draw focus away from a sharp, square jaw line.
