Biography

Dr. Eric Ruff is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the retina, vitreous, and macula. He recently completed his fellowship in Medical and Surgical Diseases of the Retina at Midwest Retina in Dublin, Ohio, where he focused on advanced surgical treatments and clinical care for patients with complex vitreoretinal conditions.

Dr. Ruff completed his residency in ophthalmology at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, where he was honored to serve as Co-Chief Resident. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY, and completed a Transitional Year Internship at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston, MA.

His research interests include retinal detachments and their treatment with pneumatic retinopexy, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at major conferences like the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Dr. Ruff has received several academic honors, including the State University of New York at Downstate Alumni Research Award. His leadership and commitment to advancing the field of vitreoretinal surgery are reflected in both his clinical work and his ongoing contributions to retinal research.
