Dr. Kamran Imtiaz Chaudhri is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery. With over two decades of experience, he has provided expert eye care across various multi-specialty and group practice settings. Dr. Chaudhri is dedicated to preserving vision through advanced glaucoma management and surgical interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Chaudhri earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in 1997. He graduated with high honors from Rutgers University, Cook College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. His passion for ophthalmology led him to complete his residency at Albany Medical College, where he also served as Chief Resident. He further honed his expertise through a glaucoma fellowship at Yale Eye Center, Yale University School of Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chaudhri has contributed to glaucoma research, focusing on intraocular pressure control and risk factors for blindness in glaucoma. His work has helped improve early detection and treatment strategies for high-risk patients. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Otsego County Medical Society.
