Dr. N. Gila Zilkha is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist with extensive experience in both clinical care and medical research. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 1989, and went on to receive her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1993.
Dr. Zilkha completed her internship and residency in ophthalmology at New York University – Bellevue Medical Center, finishing in 1997. She then pursued a specialized fellowship in medical retina at NYU Medical Center, which she completed in 1998. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and holds diplomate status with the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has also been recognized for consecutive years by the Consumer Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists in the field of medical retina.
Dr. Zilkha’s commitment to the diabetes community has been recognized through her feature on the cover of Diabetes Positive! magazine and her role as a Research Partner with the American Diabetes Association, where she actively contributes to advancing the fight against diabetes.

Since you arrived you will be attended by great staff. They do a complete eye exam. They are very careful with the cleaning of every machine before you use it. You don’t have to wait too long in order to see the doctor who by the way is very clear to explain your condition. He is very professional and polite. I will highly recommend this place.
