A distinguished academic and compassionate clinician, Dr. Shoshany earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude and serving as her class valedictorian. She went on to earn her medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Shoshany completed her ophthalmology residency at the esteemed Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where she received multiple accolades, including the prestigious Shipman Research Award. She then pursued a fellowship in cornea, refractive, and external disease under the mentorship of world-renowned surgeon Dr. Eric Donnenfeld. During her fellowship, she gained extensive experience with advanced surgical techniques of the anterior segment and participated in several FDA clinical trials investigating emerging technologies in cataract surgery.

Her academic work covers a wide range of topics, including corneal ectatic disorders, astigmatism correction in cataract surgery, and ocular trauma management. She is a contributing author to a book chapter on corneal cross-linking and serves as a reviewer for the journal Cornea.

Clinically, Dr. Shoshany is passionate about advanced cataract surgery, including the use of femtosecond laser technology, toric and multifocal intraocular lenses, and light-adjustable lenses. Her expertise includes laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK and PRK, endothelial and full-thickness corneal transplantation, and innovative treatments for dry eye disease. She has a particular interest in keratoconus management, including corneal cross-linking and emerging techniques such as topography-guided PRK.

Having completed her fellowship at OCLI Vision, Dr. Shoshany is thrilled to continue with the practice, now serving patients in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Outside of the clinic and operating room, she enjoys spending time with her husband, toddler, and golden-retriever.
